MO Hope Policy Academy

Launching June 2026
The Missouri Hope Policy Academy is a statewide initiative designed to strengthen school-based suicide prevention through training, peer learning, and implementation support. Led by the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis in partnership with the Missouri Suicide Prevention Network, the Academy provides Missouri schools with a practical, locally grounded approach to turning suicide prevention policy into everyday practice.

The Academy supports multidisciplinary school teams through a one-day statewide training, regional half-day trainings, Communities of Practice, and self-paced online learning modules. Together, these components help build knowledge, strengthen prevention efforts, and create regional peer networks that sustain learning over time.
